Happy Birthday Amy!!!

The morning after

Well let's just say the game last night is not what we thought. The boys won 37-0. This is huge since St. Catherine's was ranked #1 in thier division (5, we're 6) Cole did a great job. Bill was reviewing tape today and he had either the tackle or the assist on every special teams play. I'm not sure what his stats were on defense when he played. Dad was the ballboy and Mom teased him about it. He did a great job. Now Kyle's game is next on Tues and Cole's JV game is Thurs and Clay's 1st game is Sat. Away we go!

You've got to be kidding me!

OK I get it. Let's get someone in as VP who can get the "woman's" vote. But come on! Let's see...A-Government experience 1 Year! (Not ready to Lead) B- Foreign affairs experience NO
C- A looker (She was Miss Alaska I guess she really does want world peace). I think we got a winner. Adding the glasses is not helping her look smart. Is anyone thinking that this moron who's over 70 might not make it through the full term and this is who we want leading our country. Anyone else see any problems with this. Does McCain think past little mr. mccain. He's got a wife who is nice looking and loaded and now this. "Geeze honey I'll be working late with Sara." No scandal here. What a moron!!!!!! Thank God Obama has some brains and chose someone that can compliment him. I can't wait until the VP debate. Binder will kick some serious bootie. I really would have liked to have seen Hillary debate this candidate. What a Joke!

Long night of Football

Wow! I didn't get home until 9:30 last night. I actually got a migrane. Yikes. Here's how it happened. First I got home from work after picking up Clay from his first day of practice. I then quickly (like in 15 min.) got myself changed and Clay into his game uniform then off to Pacelli. I dropped Clay off jumped in Amy's van and off to Amherst to watch Kyle's scrimmage. After watching this we quickly stopped at subway grabbed 3 sandwiches drove back to Pacelli and gave them to the three middle schoolers as they got back on the bus and we got back in the car and headed to the big field unvieling. This is where the headache begins. Keep in mind I have yet to talk to Cole or Kyle to see how their first day of school was or lay eyes on the big kid. The unvieling started at 6:45. Clay was the first to play on the field and got a interception. Way Cool! The head dude of the project got up and gave a screaming into the mike rendition of how wonderful he and his family are for 20 min. Then dude #2 gets up and also states how wonderful he is then another 20-30 minutes of how wonderful this sponser filled field of dreams is. This guy does not know that a mike amplifies your voice! Then the intro of the high schools and college teams. Finally the ribbon cutting. 45 more minutes locate the family and finally I get to go back to Pacelli and get my car to go home. Now comes the fun part 50 pieces of paper thrown at me to fill out and send back in the morning or some teachers will give an F for this assignment. GET A LIFE. Bills feeding animals at this point and I'm ready to cry everyone is ornery. BOOO HOOO! By the way Kyle did wonderful on his scrimmage and they got new jersies after the game so he is now# 45.

Slides, Boats,Splashes, and Spongebob!

What a wonderful day! I think (I hope) everyone had a great time. We didn't see much of the older 4 boys. Poor Nathan got a sun burn and now has to go practice football with pads on. OUCH! The older boys did every ride at least once. The little ones loved tadpole lagoon and of course the lazy rivers and wave pools. Mom and Dad liked the wave pool and lazy rivers too. We couldn't get Baily to go down any slides that didn't have a boat or raft. The Spongebob Movie was a big hit though. It's fun to be the cool Aunt and Uncle for the day. Clay was thrilled to be able to bring someone along with him for a change. The older boys stayed for a little longer in the Dells to play laser tag. Cole thought it was cool he and Nathan got to drive there and back. Now it's back to reality

Happily Ever After for who?

I can't believe I am through with the Cullens family for now. I know she's writing a book on Edwards view. I also see she has another series started but I have now started the books the middle sister gave me.

Bailey is here and waiting to go to Noah's ark with us. I can tell he's not away from his family very often. He had a scrimmage and played from 9:30-12:30 with one 30 minute break. Boy I thought Clay looked little out on the field. Don't think we'll have a hard time getting him to sleep tonight. Clay's thrilled to have him here. Finally he gets to have someone over.

Early to bed tonight. Almost the end of the Olympics I can be depressed about that too.

Yeah it's Friday!

I'm so glad it's Friday. Had a great day. Cole and Bill were at Greenwood for the scrimmage today. It sounds like it all went well and Cole did good. No one got hurt this year. That's a first for us. I can't wait to here Cole's version. Kyle and Clay stayed home and vegged all day. I don't think either mind not having football practice today.
Schedule for the weekend: Work Sat and Play Sunday. We're taking the kids to Noah' s Ark for one last summer fling since they start school Wed. Yes summer is truly coming to a close.

I still think the Earth is going to open and up and swallow us. Dad bought a Toyota!!!!

Oh Crap!

Well I'm sitting at Arpin waiting and waiting and waiting. Why would you ask? Because the idiot I am locked my keys in my car and I'm waiting for Bill to being me my keys. I think I will tape a spare to my car. OK all of you tell me what a idiot I am.

Bill ditched me yesterday and went to rules meeting. Oh well the honeymoon is over. I do need to say I did tell him to go. Like I realy care. I know it's football season and I don't matter anymore until Nov. 20th.

At least I have some peace for a short time.

Happy Anniversay to us!!!

Well it sucks to have your anniversary during football season. No time to celebrate. We're thinking of getting pizza after practice tonight without the kids. I suppose there will be plenty of anniversaries to celebrate without the kids.

The boys all made it through practice in the heat yesterday. Clay had pads for the first time. He can't wait untill he can hit someone. Kyle looked great and was having a blast. Cole got his knee sandwiched and panicked that he was going to be out for a while but he's fine.

I'm horribly sad. I could not read my book until my little sis assured me things would turn out fine. It's really bad to get that attached to a bunch of fictional vampires.

Sunday Sighs

Well it's Sunday night. Another night of Olympic fun. I missed the #8 gold for Phelps because Amy dragged me to the Dells to gamble. She came out ahead and I behind. Oh well it was a fun night out anyway. Kids are all busy at friends houses.

Clay got his spikes this week and has not taken them off. He comes up with new excuses to wear them. Oh well break them in.

I had to work all weekend. It's kind of nice to know I get paid just to drive to Arpin.

Another full week of football is ahead of us. The last bear starts tomorrow. He has 3 hour practices all week. I just found out Kyle's first scrimmage is next week Thurs. Cole and Bill have the Greenwood scrimmage Fri. (about 14 different schools). Clay is in pads tomorrow. Hopefully I can get a picture posted.

I am obsessed with my books and think about reading them when I get home. It's really sick. I'm on the last book. What will I do when it ends? By the way, I feel for Jacob but I'm still hoping Edward gets her to the alter. Love at first bite. Should be done by the middle of the week Sigh!

Thursday

I'm so glad I have Forks, Washington to escape to. The bears are getting ornery and the volume is getting loud.

Kyle is finally home. I hope for the night. No one has called him and he's been home oh, 30 mins. Last night he slept over at his friend Aarons house. I wish the kid would have some friends. I'm getting worried that he's home so much.

More practices tonight. I have to figure out what to do for supper and have it ready by 7 :30 so when the bears come home I can throw something in their mouths.

Tuesday news

Football started yesterday (my life is nothing but sports and boys). Clay did wonderful. He looked like an egg head with the large helmet. Bill and Cole had an easy day just equipment pick up and testing. Today will be the real test. They are both excited. You can cut the testosterone in my house with a knife. Next Monday Kyle starts so things will only get worse. To illustrate what football season in my house is like think a wild bear in the woods who has not eaten in a week and then comes upon a bunch of gummie bears. Now add another bear is in the same position and also finds this sweet pile. Watch the two fight and wrestle for the candy. Let's just say it's a good thing we butchered 15 chickens and have 3 pigs to butcher soon. I also need padding during this time of year because somehow I now become the tackling dummy.

I got the second and third book of the twilight series. The girl who checked me out was so excited about the fact I was buying them. She also loved them. 3 other girls from work are now reading them. I'm enjoying the fact I can sit at a 2 hour football practice with Bella.

Back to work Monday

Don't you just hate going back to work after a week of vacation. I got back and oh what a mess! it took me an hour just to get things straightened out! Oh well I guess that's what I get paid for.

Bill's back from Houston. He got back at 11:00 last night. Clay was waiting up for him. I think Bill was happy to see someone still up.

Clay has his first practice for tackle football tonight. He's already fighting me about wearing his helmet. He'll be fine once he sees everyone else wearing it. Kyle's gone again. He left today to go up north fishing at a friends cabin and won't be back until Wed. For a kid who doesn't get to do a whole lot I sure don't see much of him. Cole and Bill have equipment pick up tonight. Football season officially opens in the Rogers house.

Yesterday we had a party for Pacelli football. One of Cole's teammates had a pig roast for the team and family. It was wonderful. Mrs. Feltz made sure I took a bunch home for Bill.

I'm also falling for a vampire named Edward. I need to pick up book 2 tonight. I read the first one this weekend while watching the Olympic games (are those the best female gymnast we have? Jen are you ready? Oksuta is 33)

Saturday!

What a night! The opening ceremonies of the Olympics was cool. At least the "artsy" parts were understandable. I loved the precision but then what else would you expect with China. Our Chinese food was delicious. Everyone in my house was up until 12. Cole was shocked we were all up when he got home.

By the way did anyone catch Leno last night. He figures Elvis must be alive since the Enquirer was the first to report the affair.

Bill's busy taking his Grandma to her hair apt. to get ready for the party. It sounds like he's having a good time. Party's today. He'll be home sometime tomorrow night. I would say it's going to be nice to have him home however football starts Monday and I know I won't see him much the next couple of weeks. Oh well absents makes the heart grow fonder.

All the boys are home and are flippin' through the channels to watch the different sports. I expect Cole will be off soon as usual. It's a beautiful day today at 75. (sorry Bill)

Murphy's Thursday

Well the day started off wonderful. I took Cole and Clay to get their shots. Let's just say Clay's a lot stronger than anyone would think. It took Cole, a nurse and myself to get him to sit straight to have the shot. After he got it and everyone let go he looked at us and said "When am I going to get the shot?" UGH! Then I went home and started to pack for Bill's trip. He comes home and just undoes everything I just put in for him. Kyle is supposedly coming home today. I never know with this kid since he was so adamant he was only staying for 2 days (we're on day 5). Cole went to work out after his shots and has practice today. He turned down going to Noah's ark because he missed practice on Tues because he was sick (dehydrate). Clay and I are going geocaching today we have a couple of fun ones. Since we hit 40 it seems like we're starting to catch up to the rest of the family.

Day of shopping and fun

Went shopping with sister Deb and Mom today. Had a really nice time. Didn't find a whole lot but really wasn't looking. Cole kept calling and wondering what I got him. Brother does it ever change. Kyle still not home from up north and if he keeps catching fish I'll be lucky I ever see him again. Clay is just dieing to go geocahing so I'll have to download a couple for tomorrow. Bill's off to Houston tomorrow. He'll be gone until Sunday. I feel like I'm sending off to the wolves.

By the way if Paris Hilton makes sense on her energy policy then maybe she should run. YIKES!

We Are Family!

Frost family reunion was yesterday. Seemed like everyone had a good time. Clay and Andy and Beth enjoyed the water. We went geocaching. Clay had to take me up a huge hill. It was much easier going up than down. The Wallners did one in the park with me. Of course I always have to do it the hard way. Nice afternoon.

I have off this week and Clay is dieing to go caching today. Kyle's still up north and Cole has football practice. This week's practices are ran by the seniors since the coaches legally can't do anything until the 11th. I have a feeling these practices are going to be harder.

I must be heaven because Beth's 7!!!!

Happy Birthday Beth!!! I can't believe your 7 years old. Hope you have a wonderful day. Can't wait to see you on Sunday!

Are you ready for some football?

Cole's # 75 in case you couldn't tell. Tale's from camp are slow coming in. The ones I'm allowed to hear are pretty funny. Kyle had a good time and did a nice job working in the kitchen. Clay had a great time playing with his cousins. I found him in the cornfields with walkie talkies.

Mama Mia is a must see. I know some people don't like the music but, it's different watching it in a musical and having different people sing the words. The theater was mostly women and everyone was laughing and having fun.

The down side to having everyone home is the stinky laundry and having 4 differnt schedules again.

We had our family pinic today and the boys came and had lunch with me. It was very nice. Cole stayed until the "twangy" music started (old country)
