Christmas 2011

All the work that goes into getting perfect gift. It's amazing that's it's all over in a blink of an eye. I think the boys all had a good Christmas. It's tough the older they get because there is a lot less under the tree. There were a few surprises that weren't expected. Bill finally got his ipod and is thrilled. The boys got me a massage and Cole and Kyle got Clay a new skateboard. We then said goodbye to Kyle as he went to Hannah's family and the rest of us went to a movie. Bill and Clay went to Chipwrecked and Cole and I went to Sherlock Holmes. It was wonderful. Now off to make Lasagna and have Christmas dinner. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas as well.

Crazy Weekend and Start of the week

Cole was home this weekend seeing a friend who is shipping out to Afganistan soon. He was home fairly upset about this. He's back to school for finals this week. 1 semester down 3 to go. I know it was tough for him to suck it up and go back but I'm pretty proud of him for doing it.

Kyle was at a dance competition this weekend with Hannah. Then off to a hockey game. He started to build a hockey rink and it was coming along nicely until the weather warmed up and melted it all.

Clay was at a movie with his friend. Its so funny that he is getting so big. He and his buddy got dropped off at the theater and then picked up after. I forget that he is in 6th grade. He also got his cell phone so he is constinantly texting us from wherever he is in the house.

Bill is busy fixing brakes. First he got Cole's done 2 weeks ago. My back brakes wore out along with a flat tire this week. Kyle's rear brakes went out on Saturday. When it rains it pours.

I'm busy getting Christmas cards ready to go out, tree up, gifts bought. I'm adjusting to my job just fine. New reports to do keep creeping up and now my OTR quit today. Finding a new one should be fun.

Here's to the rest of the week.

All I want for Christmas!

In this age when Christmas has gotten so comercialized I look at these teenage/tweener faces and realize that all I want for Christmas is these 3 under one roof w/ no fights. Yeah like that's going to happen. But a girl can dream. Hope all your wishes come true this holiday season.
