I know that traditionally the 12 days of Christmas are after Christmas but I wanted to do my own version. On the First day of Christmas I got a cardinal in a pine tree. The cardinal has always been one of my favorite birds but for the last 7 years it has meant a lot more. It has given us friends, taught my sons and helped us become better people.
